Our Story

HAWAIIAN COMFORT. SERVED WITH ALOHA.

Pokito is Hawaiian comfort food - generous portions, quality fish, and nothing added just to fill space.

Why we feel different

Not Everything Belongs In A Bowl

Pokito opened in 2016, when poke was still new to Toronto. As one of the city’s early poke spots, we helped introduce the category here.

As poke grew, many shops turned into salad bars - bowls crowded with extras and endless toppings.

We took a different approach: serving poke closer to how it’s enjoyed in Hawaii - simpler, more balanced, and built around the fish.

What Matters

REMOVE THE UNNECESSARY

Not less for the sake of it. Just the things that actually matter, done properly.

SUSTAINABLY SOURCED

Our fish is ASC certified - an independent standard we're audited against - and cut fresh daily.

REAL COOKING

Loco moco, huli huli chicken, house sauces. Food that's actually cooked, not assembled from a cold bar.

NEVER A SALAD BAR

Our House Bowls are composed by us. Our Traditional Poke is curated, not build-your-own.

Ohana

A PLACE THAT FEELS EASY TO RETURN TO

Pokito is not just about what is in the bowl. It is also about how people feel when they are here.

Warm welcomes. Generous portions. Thoughtful touches.

The goal is simple: make people feel taken care of. That is what Ohana means at Pokito.
